Mitsuko Uchida performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto #20– Romanze
Mitsuko Uchida conducts and performs. (continued from part I) The guiding spirit of Uchida’s performing ethos is one of generosity and community — a sharing of the joy and privilege of great music, both with her collaborators and with her audiences. As she puts it: “All great art is related to being a human being and demonstrates how wonderful it is to be alive.” (continued on part III)

oh my god! how old is she? she can express her feeling through music!!
Simply touching. 200++ years after his death, Mozart’ music is becoming a universal language. Thank you for sharing this recording.
truly beautiful
once when i hear the theme of this movement all i can think of is mozart’s laugh =D
I love the amount of passion she expresses. It’s like on a whole different level (as arelys said) ” becoming one with the music”
Those of you making fun, get up to HER level, then criticize. You are disrespecting her musicality. She is becoming one with the music.
On another note, this sounds beautiful. Love it!
Simplesmente magnífico.
Mediocrities everywhere…I absolve you.
It’s on the title.
Mitsuko Uchida.
She’s wonderful.
Because it’s Mozart.….
When I listen to Mozart, his music takes me straight to God.
all troubled by Mitsuko’s facial expressions are also probably troubled by unfiltered reality.
pianist conducts orchestra LIKE A BOSS
She looks so scary! If I don’t look at her, the music is pretty… just dont look at her…
the entire time i was completely mezmorized this is an outstanding concerto and performance and its beauty is the reason i pick up my violin every day
Wonderful!
Did mitsuko uchida change the part from 1:53 to 2:35? It sounds different from my score
That’s because she is.
Madame Rossina Lhevinne of Juilliard said all these extraneous and painful expressions add nothing to the beauty of the music.
Insert Asian in piano for epic playing
What’s the name of the concertmaster? She’s cute, isn’t she?
Listen from 7:48 to 8:00, you are accessing the gates of heaven. At 8:00, the doors open for you

Joe Cocker beats all
MY goodness this is one wonderful, talented intelligent woman… incredible… I LOVE her expressions!!! Surely I am not the only one?!
Playing music in-utero is actually bad for a fetus’s hearing. Just because she was kicking doesn’t mean she liked it. She might have been freaking out about the extremely loud noise and its effect on her really tiny ears.
Oh the 90’s!
I am not Bach, but I am “what the fuck…?” O_o’
If Bach watched this, he would be like “what the fuck…?”
this is beautiful! does anyone know where they are? is this the basilique in yonne?
You are ridiculous!
u cant appreciate music then.…
boooooooooorrrrrrrrrinnnnnnnnnnggggggggg fuckin grandpa music
i really want that pendulum to hit someone.
oh thats a good one
A string ensemble play in a hollow church while a lone empty thurible swings from the ceiling. A crowd of onlookers stand about the faux arches within, each holding an instrument and listening to the ensemble play. Momentarily, a man looks up from the scattering of scientific and historical tomes laid upon the table infront of him. He surveys the scene briefly before returning to draw a map. He takes a sip of tea, the map is revealed to be a plan of the church itself. He looks on pensively.
RE: THE KEY. YOU’RE RIGHT. I CKED IT AGAINST A RECORDING I HAVE. MORAL OF STORY: NEVER TRUST A 2 YEAR OLD!!!!!!
then you’re sadly mistaken. there are 4 sharps in the key signature. F, C, G, and D.
I love this. However, this is Concerto in A Major. I remember singing along to it as two year old to my Dad’s playing, asnd just double checked by playing along with it on a keyboard. Beautiful, all the same …
Why, please, are they “posing”…
I agree, modern art let me crazy
This music is SO GAY!!! … By which I mean, it is as beautiful as all of the wonderful, wonderful gay people I have had the good fortune to meet. ^_^
does anyone knows the year of this execution???
Like a big cream cake, divine,to the last moist morsel
they’re looking for the island
cool this video is amazing
Nothing like Bach to persuade me that the world’s not going to hell in a hand basket after all.
