Glenn Gould playing Bach’s Goldberg Variations
I feel like writing a letter to a certain F…B.…I agent.
Not a criticism, but is it not the case that these variations were written for harpsichord? Just asking!!
who wrote “I don’t like” ??????
A friend of Bach aproach him one day and ask him if he could compose a piece that could some heal his insomnia, and Bach being a good friend made a piece that actually his friend sleep well at night… His friends name is Goldberg…
I loved the part between 0:00 and 2:54
Every time I hear this I am reminded of what iI felt the first time I ever heard it , that it is possibly the best piece of music ever written.
And who better to play it than Mr Gould?
This is just epic and for those that know, know what I mean epic
I knew it sounded familiar somehow.. Beautiful piece.
Yea I can play classical guitar
I like music
amazing. mildly scary, but still amazing. i was half asleep when he started humming and i freaked out and fell out of my chair. my butt still hurts XD
And the one he killed the guards to.
“Ready when you are Sgt. Pembry…”
Beautiful, just great!
That scared the hell out of me! I thought someone was mumbling behind my shoulders.
If you put your headphones, you can slightly hear him singing the notes, its amazing (:
upvote this, seriously!
i don’t know how weird it is when Hannibal brings me here .… but sure he has a great taste of Music.thks man for showing me this great piece of Bach .
Yep, that’s why I’m here
I love most pieces of classical music, so I couldn’t miss this one
Wasn’t this the piece Hannibal Lecter was listening to in his cell..?
:’( … The recording is a straight shoot through the entire Goldberg variations so it was probably going into the next piece. Which is pretty impressive considering it’s about an hour and a half long.
it cut off at the end
He’s overrated and completely talentless
So you do not like Glenn Gould ?
